ABOUT ME
Hey there, I'm Fernand
My name is Fernand Schaber (aka Fern). Born in 1966, am happily married, and the grateful father of a wonderful daughter who is now living and working abroad.
Throughout my life, I have been guided by values rooted in the Bahá’í Faith, which emphasizes the oneness of humanity, unity, justice, and service to others. I believe deeply in the elimination of prejudice, the equality of women and men, the importance of universal education, and the harmony between science and religion. These principles have shaped both my personal and professional journey. And this site was a long-cherished wish to mark the start of my retirement hence a new life chapter..

A work that inspires me
For more than two decades, I have had the privilege of serving as President of Unity Foundation, a Luxembourg-based NGO dedicated to supporting educational and development projects across different continents.
This work has brought me close to inspiring individuals and communities striving to take ownership of their own development.
This blog is born from a long-held aspiration
This is a personal “bucket list” not of places alone, but of encounters. I wish to travel, to listen, to learn, and to share. Along the way, I'll meet people whose stories remind us that beyond our differences, we are part of one human family. That's why traveling is the antidote of ignorance.
I do not seek to sell anything here. Only to share. Because perhaps, in sharing what we see, hear, and feel, we come a little closer to understanding one another, and ourselves.
